Developed a method for absorbing CO2 from air and other gas streams.

Developed all parts of a high-performance alkaline fuel cell.

Developed stable and highly conductive anion exchange membranes.

Developed a Sold-Acid Catalyst by surface functionalization high surface area nanocrystalline TiO2.

Developed a CuO-CeO2 based electrocatalyst having high activity for oxygen reduction.

1. Invited as a resource person in the annual meeting of Japanese Electrochemical Society, Japan, Kyushu area at Kyushu Area National University, Shimbara Joint Education Centre, Japan on August 22, 2003 and delivered lecture on the topic Historical Developments in Raman Spectroscopy leading to Single Molecule Detection.

2. Invited as a resource person for the National Seminar in Green Chemistry, Environmental Friendly Chemistry and Energy for the Future, conducted by the Department of Chemistry, Government College, Chittur, Kerala on 12th January 2006 on the topic Fuel Cells: Power for the Future.

3. Invited as a resource person for the UGC Sponsored Regional Seminar on Current Scenario of Nanotechnology: The Role of Chemistry conducted by the Department of Chemistry, Muhammed Abdurahiman Memorial Orphanage College, Mukkam, Calicut, Kerala on 23rd February, 2007.

  4. Invited as a resource person for the KSCSTE Sponsored national Seminar conducted by the Department of Chemistry, Government Victoria College, Palaghat, Kerala on 19/11/2014.

  3. To be filed “A simple method for the bulk production of graphene”.

 

Consultancy work:

Completed two projects for Carborundum Universal LTD, Kalammassery and one project for Carborundum Universal LTD, Chennai.

 

  1. Development of a green process for the Removal of iron impurities from SiC and alumina abrasive materials.
  2. Development of a method for the safe disposal of isopropyl chloride.
  3. A process for the recovery of SiC and alumina abrasive materials from used paper, cloth and fibre abrasives.
