INTER NATIONAL WEB CONFERENCE

Department of Mathematics organized Two-Day International Web Conference on Fractals and Iterated Function Systems on 25^th and 26^th September 2020. Dr. Krzysztof Lesniak, Nicolaus Copernicus University Poland and Dr. Vinod Kumar P B, Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology presented the research works in the conference.

                                           

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Conducted an Orientation Programme (Online) for IIT JAM preparation by Mr. Anand O R, alumnus IIT Bombay on 30^th June 2020.

Organized an Orientation Programme (Online) for NET in Mathematics, Mr. Tonny K B, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, College of Engineering Trivandrum on 22^nd July 2020.

         

INVITED TALKS

Organized a problem cracking technique discussion (Online) for IIT JAM by Dr. Anoop N Nair, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, College of Engineering Punnapra on 7^th July 2020.

Organized first lecture (Online) of Fr. Thomas Chakramakkal Endowment Lecture Series on 6^th January 2021. Dr. Indulal G, Associate Professor of Mathematics, St. Aloysius College Edathua was the resource person and he delivered a talk on the topic “Beauty of Mathematics”.

Organized second lecture (Online) of Fr. Thomas Chakramakkal Endowment Lecture Series on 26^th February 2021. Dr. Vinod Kumar P, Associate Professor of Mathematics, TMG College Tirur was the resource person and he delivered a talk on the topic “Continuity and Uniform Continuity.”

MATHEMATICS FEST

In connection with the national mathematics day, Department of Mathematics and Mathematics association organized an Intercollegiate Virtual Mathematics Fest, TESSERACT from 22^th to 24^th December 2020.

Conducted a session on ‘Cryptography’ by Dr. Joju K T, Associate professor, Department of Mathematics, Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukkad in connection with Mathematics Association Inauguration on 30.09.2019.

                                           

Organized an invited talk (international level) on ‘Multivariate Nonlinear Statistical Processes Monitoring Methods’ on 27^th December 2019.The resource person of the seminar Dr. Syamala Krishnan Nair, Department of Mathematics, Zulu Land University.

                                          

Organized an invited talk on ‘Leech Labelling’ by Dr. Aparna Lakshmanan, Assistant   Professor, Department of Mathematics, St. Xaviers College, Aluva on 27^th December 2019.

INTER-COLLEGIATE QUIZ COMPETITION

Organized an inter-Collegiate Quiz Competition in Mathematics in Connection with National Mathematics Day on 13^th December 2019. Dr. Aparna Lakshmanan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, St. Xaviers College, Aluva was the Quiz master.

Organized a Talk on ‘Fibonacci Sequence and Linear Algebra’ by Narayanan P A, Research Scholar, Institute of Mathematical sciences, Chennai (our alumni) on 17-01-2019.

SEMINAR

In association with National Science Day, Department of Mathematics organized KSCSTE sponsored Seminar on “Relevance of Mathematics” by Dr Boby P Mathew, Assistant professor, St Thomas College, Palai and training Programme on GeoGebra by Prof. Sumesh SS, Assistant professor, St. Johns College, Anchal on 27-02-2019.

COMPETITION

Mathematics association celebrated Pi - Day with a variety of competitions on 14-03-2019.
