To have constant contact with the parents and elicit their cooperation in moulding the students as responsible citizens to meet the challenges of the time.
We believe that the basic aim of education is the overall development of the total personality of students. Education should help the students to realize their total intellectual, moral, spiritual, emotional and social growth making them better citizens of democratic India. Education conceived in this sense is a collaborative effort between the teachers, students, parents and institutions. Therefore to achieve this aim the cooperation of the parents with the teachers and the institution is very necessary. But in the present educational setup there is a wide gap between teachers and parents. In order to bridge this gap and create close ties between them for the welfare of the students, Christ College, Irinjalakuda sponsors the Parent Teachers Association.
A guardians’ and well wishers’ association is functioning in this college. Its aim is to foster a feeling of friendship, co-operation, and involvement among the guardians and well wishers in matters pertaining to the efficient functioning of the college. The affairs of the Association are managed by an executive committee consisting ofa president, vice-president, a secretary, a treasurer, joint treasurer and four members. A membership fee of Rs. 100/- will be collected in advance from the parents of the students. The General Body meets once a year, while the executive committee meets at least twice a year.
